Brownsville is located at the southernmost tip of Texas, on the northern bank of the Rio Grande, directly north and across the border from Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. During the late 1970s through the early 1990s, Brownsville was a major hub in the production of Mexican films. As a result, the city established The Brownsville Border Film Commission for the sole purpose of supporting the film, television and commercial productions industries. Spearheaded by Brownsville's Film Commissioner Peter Goodman, the city has been championed by Hollywood legends Mel Gibson and Robert Duvall as an ideal place to shoot films.
Lobo Films has worked closely with the commission in providing production services in all areas of development, pre-production, production and post.
